Marie Deboissy

Born between Guadeloupe and the Bordeaux region, Marie Deboissy grew up surrounded by nature and light - two influences that run through all her work. She trained in animation at the Atelier supérieur d'animation de l'Atelier de Sèvres, graduating in 2019, and co-founded the Collectif 99° upon completing her studies. As a director and illustrator, she has developed a graphic universe built on colour - realistic yet mysterious compositions, shaped by cinema, travel and painting. Alongside her films and commissioned illustrations, she practises oil painting as a natural extension of her creative practice.
